Introduction
New Hampshire has 48 4000 footers, and Maine has 14, but did you know Vermont has a few of its own?
Hikers who are on the hunt for the New England 67 may have heard of some of these peaks, but otherwise, you may not be familiar.
Well, I am here to discuss them with you and hopefully inspire you to visit the Vermont 5.
The Vermont 5 Challenge invites hikers to visit 5 peaks in the state, each over 4,000 feet.
This includes Mansfield 4393', Killington 4236', Camel's Hump 4083', Mount Ellen 4083', and Mount Abraham 4,006'.
While not as towering as famous peaks elsewhere in the U.S., these mountains offer rewarding and challenging experiences for beginners and seasoned hikers alike.
